author On June 26, 2022, Dongguan JC Industrial Co., Ltd. organized a hiking competition at Lianhua Mountain under the leadership of the company’s General Manager, Mr. Chen. The event was designed not only to help employees relieve stress but also to strengthen team spirit, encourage personal development, promote mutual support, improve communication, and enhance team cohesion.
Hiking is an excellent outdoor activity that promotes physical fitness, strengthens determination, builds character, enriches employees’ leisure time, and encourages a healthy, active lifestyle. It also provides a valuable opportunity to develop teamwork and cooperation.
Five award categories were established for the competition: First Place Prize – RMB 800; Second Place Prize – RMB 500; Third Place Prize – RMB 300; Women’s First Place Prize – RMB 200; and Summit Achievement Encouragement Prize – RMB 30.

The event was personally planned and organized by the company’s General Manager, demonstrating management’s commitment to employee well-being and team development. The organizing team carefully coordinated personnel and responsibilities to ensure that the activity proceeded smoothly. Specific responsibilities included logistical supplies, attendance checks, participant safety, corporate culture promotion, and emergency response management.
A detailed activity plan was developed in advance, including the selection of the hiking location and arrangements for participants. Considering employees’ different circumstances, the company adopted flexible departure arrangements. Employees living farther away or wishing to familiarize themselves with the competition route in advance could travel independently to Lianhua Mountain Forest Park. Other participants gathered at the company at 7:45 a.m. and traveled together in vehicles arranged by the company.
To support participants throughout the competition, JC Industrial prepared a variety of food and refreshments, including bread, bottled water, Jiaduobao herbal tea, Red Bull energy drinks, bananas, and apples. The company also provided Huoxiang Zhengqi oral liquid and glucose oral solution as part of its precautions against heat-related illness and dehydration.
After the hiking competition, employees gathered at the Jiali Fanxiang (家里饭湘) restaurant for a team dinner, where prizes were presented to the top finishers.
During the competition, employees progressed up the mountain in different groups according to their pace. Along the way, colleagues supported and encouraged one another, helped carry belongings, and waited for teammates who had fallen slightly behind.
Although participants were motivated to challenge themselves and compete for first place, they also demonstrated the spirit of ‘Friendship First, Competition Second.’ The activity highlighted the importance of teamwork, mutual assistance, and shared achievement.
The hiking competition concluded with laughter and cheerful conversations during the team dinner at Jiali Fanxiang restaurant, bringing this meaningful team-building event to a successful close.
