1. Crimped
Crimp-compatible hollow pins can be designed with dedicated termination features that allow the conductor to be mechanically secured without additional soldering. The crimp area can be adjusted according to wire size, retention requirements, and assembly conditions – click here.
2. Press-fit
Press-fit hollow pins can be manufactured with controlled interference features for insertion into matched holes or assemblies. Pin geometry, insertion force, retention force, and dimensional stability should be considered together during design.

3. Staked
Staked hollow pins can incorporate shoulders, grooves, or deformable areas that support mechanical locking after installation. This approach can provide stable positioning where permanent retention is required.

4. Soldered
Hollow pins intended for soldered assemblies can be designed with dimensions and surface conditions suited to the required soldering process. Material, plating, heat exposure, and joint geometry should all be considered during specification.
5. Overmolded
Custom hollow pins can also be designed for integration into molded plastic components. Retention features, positioning surfaces, sealing requirements, and exposure to molding temperature can be incorporated into the component design.
